Ever since taking Julie Haymaker Thompson's Class in Portland, I've been having fun playing with paperclay. In an earlier post, I showed you the doll I made in class. This past week, I wanted to make a music box using the techniques I learned in class. I found a music box mechanism sitting in a basket with my keys. I grabbed a paper mache box, paper clay, Claudine Hellmuth's Paints , the mechanism, ribbons, Folk Art metallic paints, wire, and a few other supplies.
I didn't glue the box top to the bottom so I can change out the mechanism if I wanted to. The music box plays In Other Words (Fly Me To The Moon). I wish I knew why I had the mechanism sitting in the basket but it must have been there waiting for me to use it in something fun.
