....friendships only get better. It had been 30 years since I had seen my girlfriends from high school. Everyone got married, started a family (my kids have always had four legs and a lot of hair), and we became busy with our lives and lost contact over the years.
However, with this new fangled technology called Facebook, we found each other and reconnected. We met for dinner last night at Fior d'Italia in San Francisco and basically took over the front half of the restaurant with our laughing and carrying on. The restaurant was full and there were people waiting for a table. Oh those poor patrons and couples who came in looking for a quiet, romantic dinner instead were 'entertained' by seven women who had a lot of catching up to do.
I had invited my sister to join us as a surprise to Nanci. When we were seniors at Cathedral, each student had a little sister who was a freshmen. We were to show them around and help them throughout the school year. My sister was Nanci's little sister.
Eventually, we left the restaurant. Some of the gals had booked a suite so we headed over to the hotel and continued our party.
We're all now in our 50's and we look Damn good!!
